The POC Thermal Socks have been made from a finely woven wool blend to ensure your toes stay toasty while the sock remains breathable. The cuff is reasonably high, resisting going unnecessarily super-high, which is a temptation that other winter socks fall prey to. The heel and toe have been reinforced to ensure a multi-winter durability. And since these are effectively insulating from late autumn straight through till early spring, there is a reflective band on the top of the cuff, just in case you are out on a ride that isn’t cold enough to need tights and shoe covers.
